Abstract:

The surgical phase of Implantology is well-developed and documented. The digital age of implantology has been slow to catch up to its restorative cousins, most of the digital surgical workflow is limited to digital implant planning and guide fabrication. The addition of DSD has profoundly changed how implant surgery is planned and carried out. Utilizing the facially driven aesthetic design is taking prosthetically driven treatment planning to the next level. It raises the bar in surgical planning to meet the exacting needs of highly specialized aesthetic dentists. From determining the vertical and horizontal bone graft position to determining the final gingival contour. The more integrated the plan, the more accurate the final outcome. Our patients will then judge us on both the pink and white aesthetics, how we manage prosthodontics becomes a key element to successful treatment outcomes.
