Irrigation During Root Canal Treatment: Methods, Protocols, Innovations

ABSTRACT
The irrigation during an endodontic treatment is probably the most important part of the chemomechanical preparation of the root canal because it is the only way to clean some complicated parts of the complex system of the root canal such as isthmuses and anastomoses. Although every clinician has his own irrigation protocol a lack of theoretical knowledge is noticed among the general practitioners. In this webinar we will discuss the action of the irrigants, the suggested and widely used protocols but also the treatment of the mishaps that can occur during irrigation. We will also take a closer look to the innovations that are tested concerning the irrigation methods which can be extremely useful in the near future.
